Rest, Resonant, Resonance, Resonate, Res Judicata (Plural: Res Judicate) Roll, A Fable out of The Child and The Prophet

The time since The Child had last seen The Prophet rolled into weeks. She amused herself by walking upon the ocean daily with Octavio. Lily Pad would float along beside them.  Friendship resonated between the two and its resonance grew.  With no sign of Mr. Whale or Mr. Eagle and the disappearance of The Prophet, The Child and Octavio were now bosom buddies.

“Rest, Child.  I don’t know this part of the ocean well and would like to go under and investigate.”

“Do you think we're in danger, Octavio?”

“Don’t know."

Suddenly, the wind gathered speed; waves began to grow, and Lily Pad bumped into the back of her heels.

Wave

“Look likes a storm,” The Child said, as she looked out over the ocean and saw a distant wave coming at her.  She jumped on Lily Pad; the wave became larger. “Octavio, sink for cover on the ocean floor!”

“No, I can’t leave you here.”

“Let’s resonate toward a win-win agreement, Octavio.”

Octavio

“And that would be?”

“When I say sink, you go to the ocean floor.”

The wave increased in size and moved quickly.

“Sink!” shouted The Child as the wave picked up Lily Pad with her in it.   Riding high on top of the wave, she stood, holding her feet firmly on Lily Pad.

“Stand firm, Child!”

“Prophet?”

The Prophet

“You're looking good. Bend those legs a little!”

The wave ended abruptly; The Child and the Lily Pad hit the water.

“Weird."

“Not weird, Child. Just res judicata. You rode that storm perfectly.”
The Child

“Really, Prophet?”
“Yes. you made me proud.”

“Prophet?”
"Yes, Child?"
“What does res judicata mean?”

  4. Resonance is a wonderful word but Rest is essential. Glad The Child is getting good guidance.

I hope you are having a lovely day. I'm enjoying all the birds looking for mates this spring while seated on my back porch. Even the woodpeckers are hammering out a love song!
