The Child was enjoying life in its fullness.
Mr. Eagle flew above her.
Mr. Whale swam beside her.
Octavio dived ahead of her.
|Lily Pad and her Water Lily|
Lily Pad had given birth to the prettiest pink Water Lily that she'd ever seen,
and The Prophet told her stories every night about people who had faced and met their challenges and thereby found the ultimate purpose for their lives. Ever so slowly, she was beginning to believe that The Prophet was ubiquitarian.
She sat by the Water Lily admiring its beauty.
"You're ubiquitarian, aren't you?"
"I thought you said I was incorporeal."
"Uh-uh, Prophet. I asked you if you were incorporeal?"
"So, are you ubiquitarian?"
"Make up your mind, Child. What am I?"
"I don't know that's why I'm asking you."
"Can I be both?"
"Because I don't understand what incorporeal is?"
"Oh, I see."
"There you go again."
"What do you mean, Child?"
"You and your oh I see. Well, I don't see."
The Prophet burst out in laughter.
"Child, don't get hung up on jargon."
"If you want to consider me as incorporeal and ubiquitarian, it's okay with me."
"But it's not okay with me, Prophet."
"One of these days, we'll talk about this again."
"When you've reached the ultimate and stand at the pinnacle of your purpose."
"Uh-uh, Prophet, not fair. By then, I might not want to know."
Chuckling, The Prophet said, "That is something I want to experience."
"Then, you Are ubiquitarian?"
The laughter of The Prophet went out upon the ocean. The waves danced; Mr. Eagle gaaaaked; Mr. Whale rolled over in the water, and Octavio crawled dousing The Child as he swam as they heard The Prophet's joyful shriek.
