IWSG DAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2024, VISITING BLOGS By Pat Garcia n@pat_garcia @TheIWSG #IWSG

Welcome to our second IWSG Day of the year for 2024.

IWSG is a writers' support group created and led by Alex J. Cavanaugh.

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It's a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

This group is an immense help to many of us who do not mind sharing our insecurities and successes or giving others encouragement and support.

So, if you are interested and would like to join, the link below will lead you directly to us.

VISITING BLOGS

Visiting blogs these days is a test of anyone's patience.

What bothers me most is trying to find the IWSG post.

I like to find the posting facing me when I open the person's blog.

I wish everyone a lovely February.

  2. I agree. There are so many blogs to visit on IWSG Wednesday that spending valuable minutes searching for the specific post can be frustrating. Happy IWSG Wednesday, Pat. Best to you.

  5. It seems that happens more often on Wordpress blogs. They offer so many options that blog posts are difficult to find.

  6. I love to read a good blog, but I don't have time to figure our how to access it or comment on it. Thanks for stopping in to say hi today, Pat. I'm not going to be on that blog much longer. Hope you'll follow me to substack:https://cleemckenziebooks.substack.com/

  7. Hi Pat,
Excellent insight. Thank goodness the IWSG badge is a requirement. It's help find the post.

  8. The Blogger commenting problem has been an annoyance for months, and it doesn't seem they are going to fix it.

  9. Short and simple answer, I like it. And it's a good idea to be able to find a blog hop post quickly and easily, for the exact purpose of the hop. Happy IWSG day.

  10. I cannot understand why Blogger hasn't addressed these problems leaving comments. I appreciate you stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Let's stick together on this commenting thing!

  11. I redesigned my site last year so the landing page is no longer my blog, and I'm sure that makes the IWSG post a little harder to find. That said, there's a link to my blog on the site's main menu, so hopefully it isn't too hard. I wish we could edit our entries on the IWSG blog roll. I'd edit my link to go directly to my blog.

  12. I have stumbled on those blogs where the actual post is playing hide and seek. That is annoying!
